The Cardiff University Verify website provides a secure repository for key verified academic electronic documents (eDocuments), such as graduates’ degree certificates and Higher Education Achievement Reports (HEARs). Via Verify, graduates can grant secure access to third-parties such as third parties, embassies or higher education institutions to view these fully authorised eDocuments, which present graduates’ achievements during their time at Cardiff University.
HEAR stands for Higher Education Achievement Report, which documents and verifies a graduate’s achievements whilst at University. The HEAR is used by a growing number of UK universities and, from 2017 onwards, the Cardiff University electronic HEAR replaces the traditional printed transcript for undergraduate and postgraduate taught graduates, and provides a free, comprehensive record of a graduate’s achievements during their time at Cardiff University. Graduates are able to access and share the HEAR with third-parties such as third parties, embassies or higher education institutions of their choosing quickly and securely online throughout their career via the Cardiff University Verify website.

Firstly, you must have graduated from an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Taught programme after July 2017. Secondly, check the email account you registered with to ensure you have received the automated verification email and have clicked on the verification link within the email (please ensure that you click on the link within 24 hours of receiving the verification email otherwise it will expire). If you have registered on the Verify website already, you won't be able to register again with the same email address. Therefore, please go to the Verify login/register screen to log in with your existing username (email address) and password. If you have forgotten your password, you can change your password from the Verify login/register screen, using the ‘Forgotten password’ function.
Yes, you can switch between English and Welsh at any time using a drop down at the top right of each page on the Verify website. The degree certificate is bilingual and there is both a Welsh and English version of the HEAR available for you to view once a graduate has granted access.
No, the Verify website is designed to be secure so that only a graduate can have full access to their eDocuments. A graduate can, however, grant access to third parties, higher education institutions or other third parties, which the graduate can remove or extend at any time.
You can update your details in the ‘Profile’ section of your Verify dashboard.
